Terms of service

Plain language, on purpose. Last updated: September 2026.

1. What BROOD is

BROOD is a collectible chicken game. Every chicken is grown from its own deterministic genome in your browser. You collect chickens, hatch eggs, breed for rare genetics and trade with other players.

This deployment is a playable concept running on a demo wallet with play money. Nothing on it is a real currency, a real blockchain asset, or a financial product.

2. Game items, not investments

Eggs and chickens are game items. They exist to be collected, bred, discovered and traded inside the game. Their marketplace price is set by players โ€” it can go up or down for any reason or none.

We never promise, suggest or imply that buying or breeding chickens will make you money. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are not speaking for us.

The Golden One โ€” the 1-in-1,000,000 all-gold variant shown in the Vault โ€” is a collectible, not a lottery: hatching it confers no prize, no payout and no claim on the platform. Its only value is what another player might choose to pay for it.

3. The marketplace

Listings are created by players. The platform charges a flat fee on completed sales (published on the Economy rules page) and nothing else.

We may remove listings that break these terms, exploit bugs or mislead other players.

4. Your account

There are no passwords. Your flock lives in your browser's local storage, tied to the wallet you connect. If you clear your browser data, your demo flock is gone โ€” treat your wallet and device accordingly.

5. Fair play

No exploiting bugs for gain, no scripted marketplace manipulation, no impersonating other players, and no wagering chickens or currency on outcomes. Play the game, don't play the players.

6. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the game evolves; the current version always lives on this page. Questions go to the team behind the deployment you are playing on.
